Fruit is much better than snack foods like chips. Fruit is lower calorie for starters and fruit contains vitamins, minerals and fiber which are generally not found in packaged foods. After reviewing literature about B-12, it appears that it is helpful for a certain type of anemia that gets more common with age [especially after 50].Added B-12 may be needed in people who are vegans and don’t eat meat or dairy products. Also people who take acid blocking medicines or metformin may need supplementing. It may help with peripheral neuropathy also. If you are anemic from B-12 deficiency, you will feel more energetic when your blood count rises. You may then exercise more and lose weight.
